About

I’ve been fascinated by the theatre and opera since I was four years old and was taken by my father to Gilbert and Sullivan.  Since then I’ve spent more time and money than I care to think about learning, listening to and watching opera.  I started writing a diary over thirty years ago and I’ve started this blog as a way of recording what I feel and, stimulating thoughts and, perhaps, the odd debate.

In this blog, I’ll be writing about the performances that I’ve seen, the CDs I’ve enjoyed and musing generally on the wonders and idiocies of this art form.  The first blog I wrote will tell you more. I don’t expect you to agree with me but I hope you might enjoy what I have to say and, if you feel like, send me a comment to publish.
